What is Mob Blacklister Mod
Mob Blacklister Mod allows you to control what mobs are allowed to spawn via a blacklist.
It checks against the mobs name, and comes with configuration support + server commands.
The mob names work the same way as the names used for the /summon command.
Importantly, the mod does “disable” mobs, as opposed to despawning, killing, or otherwise deleting them completely from the world.
That also means that any mob spawned before that mob is added to the blacklist remain spawned until the world is restarted, and they will appear again when being removed from the blacklist.
For example, if you had a trained wolf, and were the add wolves to the blacklist, that wolf would no longer “exist” in the world.
If you then removed wolves from the blacklist (or turned the blacklist off), your trained wolf would “exist” again, and (should) be fine.
Enabled the blacklist, preventing any mob who’s name is on the blacklist from spawning.
Disabled the blacklist, allowing any mob to spawn regardless of if their name is on the blacklist.
/blacklist-mob add <mob-name>
Adds a mob to the blacklist, preventing any new mobs with the given name from spawning.
This won’t effect already-spawned mobs.
If the mob is already on the blacklist, this command will fail with a message informing you the mob is already on the blacklist.
/blacklist-mob remove <mob-name>
Removes a mob from the blacklist, allowing any new mobs with the given name to spawn.
If the mob isn’t on the blacklist, this command will fail with a message informing you the mob isn’t on the blacklist.
States if the blacklist is enabled or not, and lists all mobs that are currently being blacklisted (if any).
