What is FrostCraft Mod
FrostCraft Mod adds a number of features which are all in winter them such as mobs, blocks, items, weapons and machines. Let’s go into the detail of each feature.
The Freeze effect is a potion effect that locks any hit mob or player in place while being unable to move for the duration of the freeze effect. It’s a very useful effect when fighting certain mobs, although it can be a little bit risky if you’re willing to knock the target back. This effect can be enhanced by the Freeze enchantment on certain items.
Items that apply the Freeze effect:
The Frost Gun (Duration: 40/20 ticks(duration is halved on players)
The Frost Bow (Default duration: 40/20 ticks(duration is halved on players)
Compressed Frost Units (or CFU short) is the basic “fuel” for frostcraft machinery and certain equipment. Currently, it can be generated by Frost Generators and Thermal Pumps. CFU is extremely cold and for some reason also pretty explosive.
The Frost Gun is a weapon of FrostCraft Mod. It shoots balls of CFU. The balls explode once they hit the ground, applying the Freeze and the FrostBurn effect. the Freeze effect lasts 40 ticks on non-player entities and 20 ticks on players. The FrostBurn effect lasts 60 ticks and it’s a level 2 effect.
To be able to fire the Frost Gun you need to charge it with CFU. Every shot costs 16 CFU allowing you to shoot 64 times once it’s fully charged. If it has enough charge hold right mouse dutton for at least 20 ticks to fire a ball.
The Frost Bow is a special bow of FrostCraft. It fires frozen-tip arrows that freeze mobs and players on hit. it applies the Freeze and FrostBurn effect to the mob/player it hits. If you get an flame enchantment on a Frost Bow then the bow will show this line in it’s description:
“What a waste of a Frost Bow”
This means that it is unable to freeze and frostburn mobs on hit.
The Frost Bow requires an iceball and an arrow to be able to fire.
